About Statuses

Taxprep Forms provides you with statuses (including the client file status and the EFILE status), which allow you to keep track of where the client files are currently at in the processing stages.

Statuses, when inserted in the filter or the diagnostic settings, may be used in the Client Manager or in the diagnostic pane to create and generate client file follow-up reports.

Client file statuses may be listed in the Client Manager by displaying the properties pane or in an active client file by displaying its properties.

EFILE Status

The EFILE status indicates where the slip or return type is currently at in the transmission stage and allows Taxprep Forms to filter the slips or returns that can be filed.

The EFILE status is automatically allocated by Taxprep Forms following certain operations; you cannot manually modify the EFILE status.

Type	Description
NR4 EFILE	Indicates where an NR4 slip is at in the transmission stage.
RRSP EFILE	Indicates where an RRSP slip is at in the transmission stage.
T2202 Slip	Indicates where a T2202 slip is at in the transmission stage.
T3 Slip	Indicates where a T3 slip is at in the transmission stage.
T4 Slip	Indicates where a T4 slip is at in the transmission stage.
T4A Slip	Indicates where a T4A slip is at in the transmission stage.
T4A-NR Slip	Indicates where a T4A-NR slip is at in the transmission stage.
T4RIF Slip	Indicates where a T4RIF slip is at in the transmission stage.
T4RSP Slip	Indicates where a T4RSP slip is at in the transmission stage.
T5 Slip	Indicates where a T5 slip is at in the transmission stage.
T5008 Slip	Indicates where a T5008 slip is at in the transmission stage.
T5013 Slip	Indicates where a T5013 slip is at in the transmission stage.
T5013 Return	Indicates where a T5013 return is at in the transmission stage.
T5018 Slip	Indicates where a T5018 slip is at in the transmission stage.
T3M	Indicates where a T3M return is at in the transmission stage.
T3P	Indicates where a T3P return is at in the transmission stage.
T3GR	Indicates where a T3GR return is at in the transmission stage.
T3RI	Indicates where a T3RI return is at in the transmission stage.
T3D	Indicates where a T3D return is at in the transmission stage.
T3S	Indicates where a T3S return is at in the transmission stage.
T1061	Indicates where a T1061 return is at in the transmission stage.
RL-1T4 Slip	Indicates where an RL-1T4 slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-1T4A Slip	Indicates where an RL-1 T4A slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-1T4ANR Slip	Indicates where an RL-1 T4A-NR slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-2RIF Slip	Indicates where an RL-2 RIF slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-2RSP Slip	Indicates where an RL-2 RSP slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-2T4A Slip	Indicates where an RL-2 T4A slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-3 Slip	Indicates where an RL-3 slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-7 Slip	Indicates where an RL-7 slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-11 Slip	Indicates where an RL-11 slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-15 Slip	Indicates where an RL-15 slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-16 Slip	Indicates where an RL-16 slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-17 Slip	Indicates where an RL-17 slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-18 Slip	Indicates where an RL-18 slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-22 Slip	Indicates where an RL-22 slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-24 Slip	Indicates where an RL-24 slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-25 Slip	Indicates where an RL-25 slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-27 Slip	Indicates where an RL-27 slip is at in the transmission stage.
RL-31 Slip	Indicates where an RL-31 slip is at in the transmission stage.

This table shows the various possible values of EFILE statuses:

Value	When this value is assigned, it means that …
Not applicable	The client file does not contain any slip or return of the data type in question. Note: EFILE statuses might not be displayed in certain boxes for which only the values other than "Not applicable" are displayed.
Not eligible	Taxprep Forms estimates that the information needs to be corrected in order to complete the transmission of slips or returns .
Eligible	Taxprep Forms estimates that the information provided meets the eligibility criteria for the transmission of slips or returns. However, this status does not mean that preparation of the slips or returns is finished.
Generated - Original	A file to transmit was created for "Original" slips or returns for the client file.
Generated - Amended	A file to transmit was created for "Amended" slips or returns for this client file.
Generated - Cancelled	A file to transmit was created for slips of type "Cancelled" for this client file.
